The Game Of Opleidingen
Opleidingen is a game of chance. A player is dealt five cards, two of which are the Ace of hearts and the Ace of spades. This is followed by four cards that contain a number from one to twenty-one.
The first player is dealt an Ace, King and Queen. There are twenty-four players and each one receives two cards. The second player is dealt a four of clubs, King of Hearts and Queen of Diamonds. There are now forty-two players. There are two sets of two players playing, one set in play with four players, and the other one with twenty-four players.
The game begins with three cards to each player. Players are dealt seven pairs of cards. Then, two straight cards, and then three of diamonds. The other cards have already been dealt and the deck is shuffled. Then three five of diamonds are dealt to each player, followed by seven cards of hearts.
If a player has the ace, king or queen of the same suit as the next player they will be dealt a straight card. The next player to have their cards dealt is dealt two more pairs, followed by another pair of hearts, followed by two more cards of diamonds. When it comes to a player, the player now has four pairs of hearts, followed by four of clubs, followed by two pairs of clubs, followed by a pair of diamonds and finally two five of diamonds. All other cards are then dealt out.
Each time there is a deal, the dealer will place the last two cards on top, first to left, then to right, then to left again, following any pattern of the suit cards. If it were the ace, king and queen of the same suit as the previous card dealt, they would be placed on top. The last card dealt would be dealt in the exact same pattern.
If the player did not receive a single card on the top of the deck, he or she will be dealt four pairs of clubs, followed by four of diamonds. If a card was dealt, the cards dealt would be arranged in the order: four pairs of hearts, four of diamonds, four of clubs, four of clubs and so on. This continues until all cards are dealt.
After the first player has dealt all cards, the next player is dealt a four of clubs followed by two more pairs of diamonds. followed by two five of diamonds, followed by four of diamonds. followed by four of diamonds, followed by three pairs of clubs and so on until there are a maximum of twenty-four players.
Once all players have dealt, the deck is shuffled again. This time each card is dealt one at a time. The third player is dealt a four of clubs followed by a five of clubs and a two of diamonds. This is followed by four of clubs, followed by a four of diamonds, followed by another five of diamonds.
If the last card dealt was the ace of the suit dealt, then the first player in the sequence is dealt four pairs of diamonds followed by a four of clubs and a three of diamonds. If it were the king of the suit then the first player is dealt four pairs of clubs followed by a four of diamonds and a four of clubs. If it were the queen, the first player is dealt four pairs of diamonds followed by a four of clubs. If it were the king of the suit then the first player is dealt a four of clubs followed by a three of diamonds followed by a four of clubs, followed by another three of diamonds, followed by another four of clubs and another three of diamonds.
After the third round card, the fourth round card, the fifth and last round card, the player to the left of the dealer is dealt a four of clubs followed by a two of diamonds, a five of diamonds and a four of clubs. followed by another four of clubs. followed by a four of clubs and another four of diamonds.
If the dealer has dealt the last card followed by the first, it will take the dealer four hands to deal with all the other cards to the remaining players. It will not take the dealer as many hands as it took to deal with the four cards to the first player and so on, so when all cards are dealt out, there is more than one dealer to deal with. For example, if it takes three hands to deal with the four cards of a seven-card round, the dealer can deal the same number of cards for all the other seven players. It also allows more time to deal cards than with two dealers and allows for a smoother playing experience for players.
If the dealer was dealt four of clubs and four of diamonds, then the dealer would only deal four hands to the first player, two hands to the second player and three hands to the third player. This is why many games like Opleidingen feature more than one dealer playing.
