The Best Song About Huiswinkel by Jeff Beck

“My Face When You Are With Me” by Jeff Beck is one of those songs that reminds me of my own experience with a social worker. I was working as a paraprofessional for a long time, and a very good friend of mine was taking out a hospital loan and had no savings, so her parents were looking after her two boys.

Legal support was everything to her, and she needed it urgently. Jeff was doing the same thing, so we were talking about music. Jeff’s good friend Greg and his wife Nona had a beautiful new stereo system, and their son Jack had Down’s Syndrome, but they did not have any money for musical instruments.

So we talked about music, and Jeff suggested the band Huiswinkel. That was the name of one of the songs. I found out later that the whole story behind this was that my friend really wanted Huiswinkel, and Greg’s father had no money, so they were listening to Huiswinkel all the time.

Anyway, Greg and his wife had listened to every single album of Huiswinkel before going on holiday, and in a bar, Jeff came up to us and introduced me to his friend Jes. Jes was a younger guy who loved music, and he offered to buy us all Huiswinkel albums.

We spent a lot of time at Jes’s house, listening to all of the albums in his CD collection. And that night Jeff told Jes that they needed someone to come and do a little landscaping work on the little hill near the house, and that he was going to pay Jes for it. He’s told him that it would not be a problem, because he could hire some local people who were living on the estate and pay them for the landscaping.

Jes went over and got his card, and handed it to Jeff, who laughed. Then He’s told Jeff he had to get going, because he had to go on holiday with his wife and his son Jack. Jeff said he was sorry, and he wished Jes could come with him. He’s said he had to take care of some urgent things, but he would be back soon.

Jes did not return until about 3.30 in the afternoon, and Jeff said he was really angry. Then Jes said that he was sorry, and he knew he was coming back later that day. Jeff invited Jes to stay the night with him and then asked Jes to do some gardening around the house. Jeff bought him a book about herbs, and He’s lived there for about a week. They worked together so well, and they never had to speak to each other again.

On the first day of the holidays, Jes and Jeff went to a little bar called Beads for Christmas, and they played ‘My Face When You Are With Me’ to a crowd of festive and well-dressed people. But Jeff never had to do any gardening.

My friend and I sometimes get into social workers and carers, and I am in a safe place because I know that any mistake is made with the best intentions, and that my god is always with me. When I have a musical moment, God is there. I can sing and play guitar and play the piano, and I have such a good time with them.

Jeff always enjoyed music, and he liked Huiswinkel, but Jes took him away from music. You can’t put music in front of Jeff. He has to hear it, and it must be so special and unique.

His favourite people are Huiswinkel, and Jeff Beck, of course, but they are also very dear to my heart, and Jes is a friend of mine. He gives me time to think, and that is what Jeff and Jes did, and they both got an awful lot out of music.

I think Jes and Jeff would be a lovely couple, because Jeff really likes Jes, and Jes like Jeff. and if you want a rock couple, Jes and Jeff are a great choice.
